Common Cold, Seasonal Flu, Swine Flu…be cautious & stay healthy, please!

We are now approaching our embarkation date of less than 30 days. I’m sure you’re also trying to fit it all in your 24/7 schedule. You know what I’m talking about… the holiday commitments, mingling with family and friends, getting the cooking done & table settings for the guests, squeezing in shopping & packing and still yet the late night workload so you can leave without a hitch. All this is grand, but it also brings down your immunity and you can be attacked with the common cold, the seasonal flu and oh the recognized and famous known “Swine Flu”!

There are a number of emails I’m sure that has made it into your In Box and there are so many links to reference including the CDC on swine flu.Take caution and balance yourself so you can be healthy and enjoy this long awaited getaway!

Here are a few helpful “Prevention Tips “to keep in mind:

PREVENTION TIPS:

  • Cough & sneeze into your elbow
  • Wash hands with soap and warm water a minimum of 15-20 seconds. Your cue, Sing your ABC’s or better yet our theme Happy Birthday to You this will be a good guide to the timing!
  • Use hand sanitizers when soap & water are not available on our last cruise I notice before you enter the dining room the ship had sanitizers at the doorway. Use it!
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth without washing or using hand sanitizer first
  • Stay home if you are sick to avoid contaminating your co-worker and worse getting sicker so you can’t join us.
