Our cruise blog will be sailing out as of December 3rd as many of us are kicking off our cruise at the Long Beach Hilton for an overnighter before we set sail out of Long Beach towards Ensenada on the 4th. Thank you to each and everyone of our friends & family for helping to celebrate Roger’s Birthday Bash Cruise 2009. Can you believe it 55 cruisers, Wow!
Thanks for all who were loyal readers to our blog and we look forward to meeting you on board the Carnival Paradise. Yeaaaaaah, the countdown has finally arrived!
We just wanted to let you all know that we had to provide seating assignments for the first night of our dinner together.
Our dinner is at 8:15pm, late seating dining in the Destiny Dining Room on Deck 8 Atlantic towards the aft (rear) of the ship. There are two dining rooms, ours is the Destiny Dining Room and the other is Elations Dining Room . When you arrive to the entrance of the dining room you will be greeted by the maitre d’ and hosts, who will guide you to your table. If you are unhappy about your table assignment, see if you can agree to switch with someone at another table. Otherwise the next day get there early and you can sit where ever you would like as it will be a first come first serve opportunity.
For you newcomers to cruising with the Davis’, we generally meet for cocktails before we head into the dining room. With 10 bars to choose from on this ship…Roger will spread the word as to which one we will meet at, so stay tuned!
Here is what our maitre d’ has for our seating assignment:

Thought this would be a good time to share with you our philosophy on traveling with our group...
“Do what makes you HAPPY. Be with who makes you SMILE. LAUGH as much as you BREATHE & LOVE as long as you LIVE”.
It’s our wish to have you enjoy yourself and so whether it’s with our group or some quiet alone time to regenerate. Do what makes you happy! All we ask is that you also respect and are considerate of others in the group. It’s that elementary!
So allow us to thank and update you with our current participants who will be joining us on this cruise. Looking forward to seeing you on deck...
Wanted to let you know that our Travel Agent Alex will be out of her office from October 21 through November 10, yes even travel agents deserve a fun vacation! Alex will have a back-up substitute agent in place but I would like to request that you contact me or wait till Alex returns, if at all possible.
If it is an absolute emergency and can’t wait, please contact me and I will follow-up with the appropriate steps in coordinating a solution.
Please accept this “thank you” in advance for your understanding and cooperation. Oh for those curious on where is Alex going? On a river cruise in Europe! Can’t wait to hear her adventures…
Welcome Aboard! Are we gonna have some fun or what? Diana and I are thrilled to have you be with us to celebrate this momentous occasion.
Yee gads, 70? All I see in the mirror anymore is my dad and he is really looking old……………..what happened??Anyway, the ship is stocked with extra supplies of all of our favorite drugs and other remedies so for a few days let’s forget about our aches and pains and live it up in the martini bar and/or the disco.
PLEASE remember, NO PRESENTS……seriously since I won’t be able to pack things like Corvettes, flat screen TV’s, cases of gin, and other kinds of large/expensive gifts that I know you would like to bring………so, know that there will be awards for the most disgusting/sick birthday cards I will be receiving….. give it your best shot or not!!
See you on board,
Roger
